We start on time, at 11:50
You have 10 minutes to start your first match. After that, you get one penalty point every 5 minutes.
Tournament timetable
The first phase - qualification - ends before 16:00.
The second phase - knockout - starts before 16:15. Even with 0 points you play in the second phase.
We do everything we can to hand over the cup before 21:15.
Participation
There are two groups: an A group and a B group. The A group competes for the title of Dutch Champion 2025.
There is a separate tournament for B players, the same format as for the A players. They also play at least 4 matches.

Your registration is only final after payment of the registration (15 euro) before October 28, 2026. It's 5 euro if you played the NK 2025. You pay the tournament fee (25 for B or 75 for A) on site.

Tournament format
All matches are played with a clock, 2 minutes per point.
The delay per move is 10 seconds.
You play at least 4 matches.
First phase: qualification
Three rounds of 7 points, winners play winners.
Your next match starts as soon as your opponent is known.
A won match is a point. After three matches you have 3, 2, 1 or 0 points.
And you have resistance points: the sum of the points of your opponents. In case of equal points, the resistance points count.
There are no rebuys.
Second phase: knockout tournament
MAIN: Championship roster
Players with 3 and 2 points advance to the MAIN knockout bracket, the championship selection. Any byes go – in order – to the highest-ranked players after qualifying.
Winners go to the next round, losers are out.
The best A-player of the Championship roster is Dutch Champion 2024.
CONSO: Consolation roster.
With 1 or 0 points you get into the Consolation bracket. Any byes go – in order – to the best ranked players after the qualification.

Rules during the NK
We play according to the new tournament rules of the UKBgF - WBGF. Prepare yourself and read them.
For the NK there is a slightly modified version that is used by Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Entry fee
The tournament entry fee for 2025 is 25 for B, and 75 for A. Registration is € 15. The participants of last year pay € 5.
There are side pools of 15 and/or 25 for B players and 45 and/or 95 for A players. You choose to participate in the side pools, one or both.
A side pool is separate prize money, only for the participants in that side pool. The best result in the Main bracket is entitled to that side pool.

The NK is an organization of various tournament directors. The organization – NK open – reserves the right to change any of these components without prior notice. The tournament format will be final at the start of the 2026 Dutch Open Championship on the 1st of November at 11:50 AM.
